Ashley and her littermate Scarlett came in some time ago as new mothers who had been abandoned by a breeder and taken to the shelter. Ashley is the more submissive of the two. She's about the sweetest, nicest dachshund around. Over time, Ashley has come out of her shell quite a bit and she's doing better all the time. With a lot of love, she will be fine. Ashley also had heartworm, so we're treating that. She's made it through the first round of treatment, but will need another two trips to the vet, which are prepaid for the adopter. For the sake of Ashley's confidence, we'd like to see her adopted with her sister Scarlett. For the pair we are asking for a minimum of $250, but given the high cost of heartworm treatment, anything over that amount would be quite helpful.
