Titan
May 23, 2012 - Titan had a big name for such a little dog. Titan had many immune deficiency related problems when we rescued him. He tried very hard to get over mange, infections, and malnutrition. Titan made a valiant effort but it just wasn’t enough to keep him from crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Titan will be missed but not forgotten.

Dixie

September 8, 2023-

Dixie came to use as an owner surrender in 2016. She'd had a lot of love but many health problems, so she was in sanctuary care while with her foster family at Dachshund Lovers of Texas. She was always loving and appreciative, and despite her health she enjoyed life and was a real trooper! Dixie was almost 18 years old when her body decided it was time to cross the bridge. She passed peacefully and knowing she was loved...  Run free, Dixie, you are missed... ❤️

Sweet Pea
May 13, 2012 - Sweet Pea was a cute little lady who had a strong spirit even though she had lost all her teeth and most of her vision. Sweet Pea was a trooper, staying loving and kind to everyone through multiple dental procedures. She finally made it through all the work, healed, and felt good. Unfortunately, Sweet Pea developed a tumor in her heart a short time later and passed away. Sweet Pea shared a lot of love and we are so glad she had the chance to know some quality time without pain or infection.

Sonny
April 13, 2012 - Sonny came to us with severe infection already threatening his life. Despite the best intervention and a lot of TLC he was unable to overcome his illness. We only knew Sonny for a short time, but we are glad we had the chance to show him love and mercy.

Oscar
February 16, 2012 - We have sad news to share. Oscar's long and difficult struggle with his devastating illness has come to an end. Sadly, despite all the efforts to find a treatment that would help him, Oscar crossed the rainbow bridge today. Thank you to everyone whose thoughts, prayers, and generous donations helped him gain precious time to be with those who love him. Thanks also to the veterinary caregivers who were always there to help. It's been a long year since we got Oscar, thin, weak and starving, from the shelter. In that time he has overcome several medical crises, and his quality of life remained good until the end. Oscar will be missed but it is a source of comfort to know that he had the opportunity to be loved and to share his time with us.
