Lilo is a good looking girl who came to us because she wasn't very thrilled with the toddler at her previous home. She never actually did anything aggresive, but she would tend to growl and bark when approached. She's a good girl but is a bit spirited and tends to be defensive when in doubt, so she needs a home with no  young children and with adults who understand temperamental Dachshunds. That said, she became very sweet and approachable once she decided our volunteers were no threat. Again, no actual aggression, just initial growling and barking until she felt comfortable.

Lilo is sweet and will be a wonderful pet in an appropriate setting. She just needs the right environment and an owner who can work with her quirks. Because she is spirited she needs a home with a secure yard, and preferably a single-family dwelling (no distracting or threatening noise in adjacent apartments, etc). That's not much to ask for a loving, beauitful girl in her prime!
