Nina came to us with an injured/missing right eye, cause unknown. Perhaps because of that she is initially skittish or shy when reached for. However, once she is held and knows she's with a gentle, loving person Nina just melts into your lap, giving doggie kisses and hugs and wagging her happy self! Nina was a stray before we got her from the shelter, but she's been someone's pet- she loved being bathed, did fine around other dogs at her foster home, and leash walks well. Although her teeth are not bad, we will be getting Nina a dental cleaning and will also get her eye situation appraised by our vet. It appears that it's missing but has not been surgically removed, so we need a medical consult to know where to go from there and what, if anything, we need to do for her. Other than that, she's a wonderful little girl, incredibly sweet and well-behaved, and she just needs a loving home where she is safe and comfy forever!
